Francisco Dias Rodrigues aka TIICO is a portuguese contemporary artist, born in 1993.

 

He focuses on representing, through figurative painting, his view on everyday life situations that  might be assumed as normal. He adds a twist and sarcasm in his compositions making us reconsider how we see preconsieved ideas and situations.

Growing up between the sea in Cascais and the coutryside, his direct contact with nature has shaped his practice so far.

​

With a background in architecture, his self taught drawing and painting skills have been evolving from painting outdoor landscape watercolors, to more complex compositions with intriguing representations that come to life as a resulte of his own personal experiences.

​

Seeking a new way of representing his view, his style is continuously evolving, he looks forward to exploring new themes and techniques, inviting viewers to witness  his work as it  continuously matures.
